Farmer Assistance

Helping Beginning Farmers Start Their Own Farm and Supporting Existing Local Farmers

We believe that food is medicine for our bodies, our community, and our planet. In order for this to be possible, we need to support our farmers who grow this incredible food! It’s essential that all our local farmers have access to the resources and support they need to create a business that sustains them, builds healthy soils, and feeds our community.

Whether you’re interested in starting a career in agriculture or you want to support your local farmers, you can get involved and read about our programs below.

GoFarm Incubator

The GoFarm Incubator trains and mentors beginning farmers, helping them start their own farm and reducing the barriers of entry into a career in agriculture, especially for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and veteran farmers. We provide access to land, infrastructure, technical assistance, classroom curriculum, and mentorship. The Incubator offers three different tracks to choose from so you can get the support that is right for you.

Land Access Project

The JeffCo Farmland Project connects local farmers and landowners in an effort to help local farmers access land, and to build a more robust local food system. If you are a local farmer looking for land to farm, or are a homeowner interested in hosting an urban farmer and making a difference in your community, please read more about this project and reach out to us!

We are also calling for applications from landowners and/or land managers to establish a farmer training center for the GoFarm Incubator Program in addition to seeking land to rent for individual farmers.
