GoFarm Celebrates New Partnerships & Pop-Ups in 11th Year Bringing Local Food from Farmers to Community
GOLDEN, CO, June 2, 2025 - GoFarm, a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to local food, local farmers, and equitable food access, is pleased to announce the start of its summer Local Food Share season on June 11th.
GoFarm launched its Local Food Share program in 2015 utilizing a multi-farm community-supported agriculture (CSA) model that connects local farmers with residents who are looking for fresh, locally grown produce. Members sign up for weekly or biweekly shares of seasonal fruits and vegetables, and in return, farmers receive support and a guaranteed market for their crops.
Black Fox Provisions Partnership
This year, GoFarm is once again offering food shares in Evergreen, Colorado through its partnership with Black Fox Provisions. Due to logistical challenges a couple of years ago, GoFarm was forced to pause food distribution. Shareholders at this location pick up pre-packed shares of produce and other goods at the store weekly or biweekly.
“We’re excited to be back in Evergreen offering locally grown, nutrient-rich food to community residents through our partnership with Black Fox Provisions, and we’re looking forward to building on the success of our partnership to serve the community.” – Virginia A. Ortiz, Executive Director.
Hyperlocal Community Pop-Ups
GoFarm had its first 2 pop-ups in the fall of 2024, featuring sourdough bread and kimchi. This spring, GoFarm hosted 3 different local vendors, featuring baked goods, tomato seedlings, and sourdough bread. The goal of pop-ups is to partner with hyperlocal vendors that may not have the funds or capacity for larger events, such as farmers markets, and to add even more variety to what GoFarm offers its weekly shareholders.
"One of the Local Food Share program goals is to bridge the gap between our farmer partners and our shareholders. In the past, we’ve hosted farm tours, displayed information on where and how produce is grown, we’ve shared recipes, and we’ve hosted food preparation demos. Additionally, at the end of 2024, we introduced hyper local pop-ups for producers and beginning artisans to have an opportunity to get their foot in the door, and to be a part of the food community we are building. We are continuing this effort in the summer season! This year, we plan to add some educational pop-ups to offer a more enriching experience.” – Ge’Von Martin-Collins, Local Food Share Program Director.
Pop-ups not only give local vendors a free opportunity to sell their goods and potentially gain long-term customers, they also give GoFarm’s shareholders something new to try and look forward to when picking up their weekly shares.
GoFarm Local Food Share Season Updates
The bundles folks know and love from GoFarm’s fall 2024 and spring 2025 seasons will continue throughout the summer! There is a Grocery Bundle (Bread, Eggs, Veggies, and Fruit), a “Get it All” Bundle (all of GoFarm’s shares), and a Plant Protein Share that is new this year.
The Plant Protein Share rotates each week between;
A 19oz block of firm tofu from Colorado Sun Tofu.
An 8oz tempeh patty from Little House of Tempeh.
5oz of mushrooms from producers like Mile High Fungi.
Pre-baked, marinated tempeh protein strips from Little House of Tempeh.
"People should consider joining LFS because you will get that feeling of community with every share. Those once prized specialty markets and storefronts that I remember going to as a child, are these small farmers and producers we work with now. When you support Gofarm , you are supporting those small storefronts, businesses, and people who love their community as much as you do." - Ge'Von Martin-Collins, LFS Program Director.
GoFarm welcomes SNAP payments, participates in Double Up Food Bucks, and offers 50% discounts for eligible households.
"I'm excited to bring new collaboration efforts with other organizations. I believe that no effort of a large magnitude can be achieved without a collective." - Ge'Von Martin-Collins, LFS Program Director.

About GoFarm (www.GoFarm.org):
Founded in 2014, GoFarm envisions a local food system that is equitable, resilient, environmentally sustainable, and inclusive. One in which:
Everyone has reliable access to food that is nutrient-dense, local, and sustainably grown.
Community members are engaged in their local food system.
Land stewards and farmers have the resources they need to farm safely and thrive.
GoFarm’s mission is to train and support local farmers, connect people with local agriculture, and increase equitable access to nutrient-rich food grown in Colorado.
GoFarm advances its mission through the following programs:
Local Food Share (LFS) utilizes a multi-farm, membership-based community supported agriculture (CSA) model with shareholders who pay for a full season of food produced by local family-owned farm businesses. GoFarm’s LFS program provides a viable market channel and lasting economic opportunity for farmer partners. This is especially crucial when considering that most of the farmers we support depend on income from outside jobs to meet their financial needs.
Community Food Access (CFA) advances health equity and builds healthier communities by increasing affordability and access to healthy, locally grown food. Our CFA mobile market travels across Denver and Jefferson counties with food purchased from local farmers to serve children, families, and older adults who are challenged with food insecurity, transportation, disabilities, and other barriers to accessing fresh, locally grown food.
Farmer Development and Support (FDS) is developing the next generation of farmers. FDS trains and supports new and aspiring local farmers in sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship with a 2-year on-farm incubator farmer training course, a 20-week introduction to farming course, and paid internship opportunities that offer experiential education.
