Community Food Access
Increasing Accessibility to Colorado's Local Food System
We believe that local food is for everyone.
Community Food Access increases health equity and strengthens our community health by providing affordable access to locally grown, nutrient-rich food through 60–70 mobile farmers markets serving children, families, and older adults.
Our mobile markets increase accessibility by addressing:
-
transportation barriers
-
decreased mobility
-
affordability
We collaborate with community organizations to host local food markets at convenient times and locations, offer financial incentives on local food purchases, advocate for systemic change toward food equity.
In addition, we provide our local farmers with an additional sales outlet where they can reach new audiences and take part in an inclusive local food system.
We invite you to join us, where each week during the season you will:
-
Enjoy home fresh, local, seasonal produce.
-
Receive recipe inspiration, cooking tips, and more.
-
Get to know local farmers and learn about how and where your food is grown.
-
Make an incredible impact in your local food system and contribute to a web of positive change in the community.
