Community Food Access
Making fresh, healthy food more affordable and accessible for
under-resourced communities.

We believe that it is a basic human right to have reliable access to fresh, healthy food. To make this a reality, we host affordable pop-up markets in areas where many families struggle with hunger and food insecurity, we offer economic incentives on local food purchases, and we bring the fun and flavor back into healthy eating!
Our projects that make healthy food more affordable and accessible:
GoFarm to Families
GoFarm to Families makes eating fresh produce easier and more exciting for families with young children. We conduct weekly markets and distribute low-cost food shares at Jefferson County Head Starts, selling produce at affordable prices. We accept SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks, offer discounts to families receiving WIC benefits, and have fun with food education!
For more information, visit the GoFarm to Families Facebook page. Thank you to JeffCo Head Start, Lakewood Head Start, and JeffCo WIC for your partnership with this program!
GoFarm to Seniors

GoFarm to Seniors brings affordable, fresh, local produce to older adults through markets at senior residential communities. We share information about the increased health benefits of local produce, as well as ideas on how to prepare these items in a simple and nutritious way. Our markets are a great opportunity for seniors to connect with their neighbors around cooking and eating healthy food!
Thank you to Eaton Senior Communities for your partnership with this program!
SNAP and Discount Local Food Shares
For those interesting in signing up for our Local Food Share, we accept SNAP benefits (formerly known as food stamps) and participate in Double Up Food Bucks! Double Up Food Bucks is a state funded program that allows SNAP customers to double their money on Colorado grown produce. Since all GoFarm produce is grown in Colorado, ALL SNAP customers will get 2 weeks of fresh produce for the price of 1!
For those not enrolled in SNAP, we also offer a half price share option for eligible limited-income households.
Thank you to Calvary Church and the City of Golden for making these discounts possible through your generous funding!

Produce as Medicine
In partnership with Centura Health, we connect patients experiencing food insecurity (meaning they lack access to healthy and affordable food) with healthy food resources. Recognizing the link between diet and health, Centura Health provides patients with free food from our local food share, and afterward, patients are encouraged to sign up for a share through our SNAP or Discount Share options! Thank you to Centura Health for your partnership with this program!
Thank you to all of our partners, and to the Colorado Health Foundation for making our Community Food Access program possible! If you have any questions or want to learn more, contact Jess Soulis, our Community Food Access Program Manager.
