Meet GoFarm's 2025 Interns (Part 2)

Meet Brianna (Bri)

Where are you from? "I am from Reading, Pennsylvania, about an hour outside of Philadelphia, but I have lived all over! I spent a few years in Chicago before getting my Master in Food Studies in Northern Italy last year, and just moved to Colorado in March. I’m grateful to get to know this area better through working in the local food system."

Favorite book? "Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. This is a beautiful book about nature, science, and indigenous wisdom."

What are your top hobbies? "Cooking is my favorite thing to do! Working with GoFarm and getting my own veggie share has been a great way to test my creativity in the kitchen and try new ingredients. I also love to read, do yoga, and play frisbee at the park with my partner."

Meet Jordan

Where are you from? "I'm originally from Tulsa, OK, but moved to Fort Collins in 2017. I relocated to Lakewood last year, and have been happy as a clam since!"

What are you most passionate about? "I'd have to say I'm probably most passionate about ecology (applied, paleo, restoration, all the fun stuff). Our world is weird and complex, and I can't learn enough about it."

What's your favorite season? "My favorite season would have to be spring. There's not much more exciting to me than noticing buds and blooms coming in after a long winter, and I'm always itching to get back in to the garden."

GoFarm is a nonprofit organization with a mission to train and support local farmers, connect people with local agriculture, and increase equitable access to nutrient-rich food grown in Colorado.

We envision a local food system that is equitable, resilient, environmentally sustainable, and inclusive. One in which farmers and farm workers have the resources they need to thrive and farm safely, community members have reliable access to healthy, local, and sustainably grown food, and everyone feels inspired to engage in their local food community.
